We also provide freshly-prepared meals tailored to your child’s dietary needs and nutritional requirements. Our mission is to provide a positive learning experience in a safe environment that will improve the quality of life for the children and families served, and empower them to become self-sufficient, contributing members of the community. Our program is fully accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), state-licensed, and designed to promote strong family relationships, educational and employment opportunities for families, and physical and emotional well-being for children. Our comprehensive program includes providing resources and services to families, nutritious meals, health screenings and services, reliable childcare, and fun educational school readiness programs for qualified children between the ages of 0 and 5. Since its inception in 1971, Head Start of Northeastern Nevada has been dedicated to fulfilling Lyndon Johnson’s “War on Poverty” initiative of ensuring that every child has their basic needs met.
